Safari Highlight: Seeing the Chimpanzee

Surrounded by the peaceful waters of Lake Victoria, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is home to 49 orphaned chimpanzees rescued from across East Africa.

Day Trip: Kampala – Entebbe

Travel time: 3 hours

After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you from your hotel in Kampala and drive you to Entebbe pier for your boat cruise to Ngamba Island for a full day with the chimpanzees. You will receive an educational orientation by a chimpanzee caregiver and view a feeding of the chimpanzees.  You will also be treated to sights of monitor lizards, birds, and other photographic opportunities

In the evening your guide will pick you from Entebbe pier and drive you back to the Hotel

Other optional activities include; swimming on the equator, visiting a neighboring fishing village, Bird watching, experiencing other wildlife encounters, or simply sunbathing and relaxing.

Important:
Gorilla tracking is dependant on the permits availability at the time of your booking. Gorilla permits in all parks are on a very high demand and we advise that you book them as early as possible.
